Ranked as one of Toronto’s top butcher shops in publications like BlogTo and known for its its ethical practices, the Butcher’s son was created by Matthew K. (the son of a butcher) and Chef Vito Rizzuto.

The two met in a chance encounter with while Matt was delivering meat from Bruno’s Fine Meats to the well known 5 Doors North.

As the two founders developed a relationship, they quickly developed the concept of creating a neighbourhood butcher shop that carried naturally raised meats and speciality prepared foods made in a home style.

The store has been going strong for 8 years now and we’re happy to serve the local neighbours and our are friends across the GTA!
